If I had to gauge the difficulty of the first three games, I'd have to say that Riven was the hardest and that Myst III felt a lot easier than Riven was. However, ScummVM does not officially support Riven yet, and thus it creates a few new issues - such as missing transitions and FMVs pausing when skipped. Search the wiki, or see a list of all supported games here. After finishing Myst III, I dove straight into Myst IV.
